Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Engineering Manager with deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture to lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable, cloud-native backend systems. The role requires strong technical leadership, hands-on capability, and team management skills to drive high-quality engineering outcomes.

Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Architecture & Technical Leadership
Design and implement scalable microservices architecture using Java & Spring Boot
Define system architecture for high-availability, fault-tolerant distributed systems
Ensure best practices in API design, system integration, and service communication
Lead architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical governance
Drive adoption of event-driven architecture (Kafka/RabbitMQ) and asynchronous processing

2. Backend Engineering (Java + Spring Boot)
Lead backend development using:

Java (Core Java, J2EE)
Spring Boot, Spring Cloud
RESTful APIs & Microservices

Ensure code quality, scalability, maintainability, and security
Support hands-on development for critical modules when required
Drive unit testing, automation, and performance optimization

3. Team Leadership & People Management

Manage, mentor, and grow a team of developers, QA, and DevOps engineers
Conduct performance reviews, career planning, and skill development
Foster a culture of ownership, innovation, and engineering excellence
Hire, onboard, and retain top engineering talent

4. Delivery Management & Agile Execution
Own end-to-end delivery lifecycle (design, development, deployment, support)
Drive Agile practices (Scrum/Kanban) and ensure efficient sprint execution
Manage backlog, capacity planning, and release deliveries

5. Cloud, DevOps & Platform Engineering
Drive development of cloud-native applications (AWS / Azure / GCP)
Implement CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks
Enable containerization using Docker and Kubernetes
Ensure monitoring, logging, and observability frameworks are in place

6. Stakeholder Collaboration
Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, and Business stakeholders
Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
Provide regular updates on progress, risks, and dependencies

Professional & Technical Skills:
Technical Skills
Strong expertise in:
Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud
Microservices Architecture and Distributed Systems
REST APIs, API Gateway, Service Mesh

Experience with:
Messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
Cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, Maven/Gradle)
Containers (Docker, Kubernetes)
Databases: SQL and NoSQL

Experience
10–15 years of experience in software development
3–5 years in Engineering Manager / Technical Leadership role

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 10 years of experience in Microservices and Light Weight Architecture.
