Summary:
As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by proactively monitoring and diagnosing issues across various critical business system components. This role requires a dynamic approach to identifying problems, analyzing system behavior, and ensuring smooth operation of essential applications. The professional collaborates with different teams to maintain system stability and swiftly resolve disruptions, contributing to uninterrupted business processes and enhanced system performance.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of system issues and minimize downtime.
- Mentor junior team members by sharing knowledge and best practices to foster professional growth.
- Continuously evaluate system performance and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in SAP Basis Administration.
- Experience in managing and maintaining SAP landscapes including installation, configuration, and upgrades.
- Strong knowledge of system monitoring tools and performance tuning techniques.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues related to SAP environments and underlying infrastructure.
- Familiarity with database administration and backup/recovery procedures within SAP systems.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in SAP Basis Administration.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
