Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute API test cases using Postman
- Validate API requests and responses using JSON payloads and ensure data accuracy and consistency
- Develop and maintain automated API test scripts to improve test efficiency and coverage
- Perform functional, integration, and regression testing for APIs across multiple systems
- Identify, log, and track defects, and work closely with development teams for resolution
- Analyze API specifications (Swagger/OpenAPI) and translate them into test scenarios
- Ensure API performance, reliability, and security standards are met
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, architects, and business analysts
- Apply banking domain knowledge to validate business scenarios such as transactions, account processing, and customer data flows
- Support testing in environments involving multiple integrated systems and services
This role will require 60% onsite in the office in Vienna, VA.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 Years hands-on experience with Postman, including the ability to create, execute, and manage test collections
- Proven experience in API test automation (e.g., Postman scripting, Newman, or similar tools)
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, HTTP methods, status codes, and API authentication mechanisms
- Strong experience working with JSON and validating API request/response structures
- Experience in banking or financial services domain, with understanding of core banking processes and data flows
- Familiarity with API documentation tools such as Swagger/OpenAPI
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong experience working with JSON and validating API request/response structures
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in an agile environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams
