Accenture Construct – Resident Engineer (Transit), ANS
You've Never Been Satisfied with "Good Enough."
You didn't get into this to manage one piece of a project. You got into it to change how the world gets built.
At Accenture Construct, that's the job. You'll help deliver the data centers, power grids, rail networks, factories and public infrastructure that keep communities moving — smarter, safer and more sustainably.
You'll work alongside people who think big and act bold: project managers, engineers, technologists and strategists who pair real-world delivery with AI. And you won't be handed a slice of it. We take on whole programs, from early strategy through construction and handover, and we stand behind how they land.
THE WORK:
- You'll help ensure the safety of Accenture, client and agency personnel, contractor employees, and the traveling public by monitoring contractor operations and traffic conditions, making recommendations, and taking corrective action when necessary.
- You'll review contractor operations for compliance with Washington Industrial Safety and Health Act (WISHA) regulations and Department of Labor & Industries requirements.
- You'll provide direction to project staff to ensure complete, accurate, and timely contract records related to construction progress, job expenditures, budgets, and work order balances are maintained in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- You'll collaborate with contractors to verify compliance with project plans, quality standards, and construction requirements.
- You'll perform field inspections to confirm contractor work complies with plans, specifications, special provisions, utility agreements, and permit conditions.
- You'll prepare project reports and review daily inspection reports from field inspectors to document contractor activities and project progress.
- You'll maintain accurate and complete project records while ensuring compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
You'll calculate and document field quantities to support contractor payment processing. - You'll document as-built conditions of completed facilities and infrastructure.
- You'll monitor project schedules and budgets and provide status reports to executive leadership as required.
- You'll prepare contract change orders for alterations, deviations, additions, or deletions to project plans and specifications to support successful contract execution.
- You'll research field conditions, develop solutions requiring contract modifications, and coordinate any necessary engineering redesign efforts.
- You'll identify the need for contract-related documentation and prepare submissions for contractor review and action.
- You'll review critical path method (CPM) schedules, identify project risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- You'll maintain a daily project diary documenting contractor activities, project progress, and key discussions with project and construction management teams.
- You'll support the resolution of contractor disputes, prepare responses in accordance with contract requirements, and develop draft claim reports when needed.
- You'll ensure inspections, testing, and quality assurance activities are performed in accordance with the client's Quality Management Plan.
- You'll coordinate special inspections and materials testing activities, including collaboration with WABO-certified special inspectors and accredited testing agencies.
- You'll monitor temporary erosion and sediment control (TESC) compliance and coordinate with the certified erosion and sediment control lead.
- You'll review certified payrolls and Washington State Intents and Affidavits to verify apparent compliance with prevailing wage requirements.
- You'll ensure contractor activities and deliverables conform to all client contract documents.
- You'll perform constructability reviews and provide recommendations and comments on design packages to improve project delivery and reduce construction risks.
- Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.
- With all our roles, there is some in-person time for collaboration, learning and building relationships with clients, peers, leaders and communities. As an employer, we will be as flexible as possible to support your specific work/life needs.
