THE MOMENT

At Accenture Song, we believe the future belongs to those who reinvent it.

We are building a new-world media practice, unencumbered by legacy systems, processes and practices. We bring together cutting-edge technology, consultant-grade intelligence and strategic media creativity to deliver disproportionate outcomes for our clients. Strategy is central to that ambition, and we're looking for someone to lead it across the Americas.

The successful candidate will be an AI-first strategist.

THE ROLE

We believe media can be as distinctive as the content it distributes, and when creativity is applied to the craft of media it unlocks compounding outcomes.

As a growing practice, we are looking for leaders who don’t accept the status quo and are driven by changing the industry for the better.

WHAT YOU'LL LEAD

As Head of Media Strategy, Americas, you will be responsible for:

  • Industry-defining work. Strategic work that makes it into market and has an outstanding impact for clients.
  • New tools and methods. New processes, products and capabilities, including applied AI, that improve the quality of strategy as much as its speed.
  • A stronger team. A strategy team upskilled in future-state media planning practices.
  • Trusted client relationships. Senior clients who seek your advice ahead of and outside of formal briefs.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • Work that reaches market. Ambitious strategic thinking that is built, launched and recognized for its impact on client outcomes.
  • A practice with its own tools. New processes and products in regular use, continually improved as the practice grows.
  • A capable, confident team. A strategy team that plans to future-state media practices and raises its own standard.
  • Senior client advocacy. Senior clients who call you first for advice, well before a brief exists.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • A track record of great strategic work. You've led ambitious thinking that has made it into market and had an outstanding impact. Importantly, we want to understand your role in making it happen.
  • A deep understanding of effectiveness. You know the evidence and principles behind how marketing works, with the judgment to know when they apply and when a different approach is warranted.
  • A reputation for strong client relationships. You are someone senior clients call direct whenever they need advice, ahead of and outside of formal briefs.
  • Curiosity with Judgment. You have a point of view on media, brands, culture and the industry, and know how to turn that thinking into useful opportunities for clients. You stay close to emerging platforms, formats, behaviors and technologies, without chasing every new thing that appears.
  • A builder's mentality. You're comfortable creating new tools, methods and capabilities, and improving them as the practice grows. In particular, a progressive view of applied AI and how it can improve the quality of strategy as much as its speed.
  • Low ego, high standards. You care about the quality of the work and are committed to get into the detail to make it better.

EXPERIENCE

  • 12+ years of strategy experience in a senior planning or brand strategy leadership role with knowledge of the US media and tech landscape. Experience should include:
    • Hands-on command of effectiveness methods: econometric modeling, incrementality testing and attribution.
    • Experience in high-investment consumer categories: financial services, telco, retail, automotive, health.
    • Experience leading a strategy or planning function, not just performing as a senior individual contributor.

WHY HERE. WHY NOW.

The resources and reach of Accenture, with the energy and freedom of a practice still writing its own rules.

At Accenture Song, creativity meets intelligence, powered by technology and humanity in equal measure.

The work being done now will shape what this agency looks like for a long time, and we’re looking for leaders who want to change the industry for the better.
