Senior Manual QA (AI-Augmented)
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Manual Test Engineer (AI-Augmented) to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in manual software testing, a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), and a passion for delivering high-quality software.
The candidate should be comfortable leveraging AI-assisted tools to enhance productivity, accelerate test design, improve test coverage, and support quality engineering activities.
You will collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and other stakeholders to identify risks early, validate requirements and ensure software quality throughout the development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business, functional, and technical requirements to create test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.
- Participate in 3 Amigos sessions to refine requirements, define acceptance criteria, and identify quality risks early.
- Apply Risk-Based Testing (RBT) to prioritize testing based on business impact and technical risk.
- Design, execute, and maintain manual tests for web, mobile, API, and desktop applications.
- Use AI-assisted tools to support requirement analysis, test design, and test case generation.
- Perform Functional, Regression, Integration, System, Smoke, Sanity, Exploratory, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects using Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
- Verify defect fixes and perform regression testing before releases.
- Collaborate closely with developers and product teams to resolve issues efficiently.
- Execute API testing using Postman (or similar) and perform database validation using SQL where required.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Prepare test execution reports and communicate testing progress to stakeholders.
- Continuously improve QA processes and mentor junior QA engineers when required.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in Manual Software Testing.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Defect Life Cycle, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience in Functional, Regression, Integration, System, Smoke, Sanity, Exploratory, and UAT testing.
- Proven experience creating test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test execution reports.
- Knowledge of Risk-Based Testing (RBT) and participation in Three Amigos sessions.
- Experience using AI-assisted tools to support requirement analysis, test design, and test case creation.
- Proficiency with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar defect management tools.
- Working knowledge of SQL for database validation and Postman (or similar) for REST API testing.
- Familiarity with browser Developer Tools for debugging.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Academic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Applied Computing, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Any other certifications will be a plus
