We are currently seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst to join our Technology team in Mauritius, supporting clients in the banking and financial services sector.
What responsibilities will you have?
As an IT Business Analyst, you will be part of a high-performing team delivering technology-driven solutions within a complex and dynamic financial services environment. Your role will focus on bridging business needs and technical delivery, ensuring alignment across data analysis, platform implementation, and business operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Analysis & Stakeholder Collaboration
Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from banking and investment stakeholders.
Translate business needs into functional specifications and support the development lifecycle.
Engage with both technical teams and business users to ensure effective solution delivery.
2. Data Analysis & Financial Product Insights
Conduct data analysis to support business decision-making, using tools such as Excel, SQL, or BI platforms.
Understand and assess the impact of financial products and services on business processes.
Identify data trends and anomalies to support recommendations and strategy.
3. Technical Involvement & Hands-On Delivery
Participate actively in the implementation and testing of technical tools.
Be hands-on with systems such as databases, analytical tools, or workflow platforms.
Support system integrations and ensure solution alignment with IT architecture.
4. Continuous Learning & Professional Development
Stay current with industry best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies.
Proactively seek opportunities to expand technical knowledge and banking domain expertise.
Contribute to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience & Background
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, ideally within investment banking.
Demonstrated understanding of financial and capital market products and services.
Previous involvement in IT transformation or data-centric projects.
Technical & Analytical Skills
Strong data analysis capabilities and exposure to tools such as SQL, Excel, or Python is a plus.
Familiarity with technical workflows and systems (e.g., APIs, databases, system integration).
Hands-on mindset and curiosity to work with technical teams and tools.
Communication & Collaboration
Fluent in English and French, both spoken and written.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Other Requirements
Willingness to learn, grow, and contribute to dynamic project environments.
What academic qualifications do you need?
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
