Cyber Defense Manager
As a Cyber Defense Manager, you will take a leading role in transforming and maturing our clients' Cyber Defense capabilities. With a strong background in cybersecurity — including at least 8+ years of experience, of which at least one year in a leadership or managerial position — you will independently advise organizations on Security Operations transformation, SOC modernization, and Managed Extended Detection and Response (MxDR) solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
Client Advisory:
Serve as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders on Cyber Defense strategy, SOC transformation, and MxDR adoption.
Assess existing Security Operations capabilities and define target operating models, maturity roadmaps, and improvement initiatives.
Guide clients in optimizing detection engineering, threat analytics, automation, and SOC operating processes.
Leadership & Team Management:
Lead project teams in delivering Cyber Defense transformations and managed detection services.
Mentor junior and mid-level team members, helping them develop their technical, advisory, and consulting skills.
Business Development & Market Growth:
Drive business development by identifying opportunities, building client relationships, and supporting sales cycles.
Lead or support responses to Requests for Proposal (RfPs) and craft compelling solution narratives for Cyber Defense opportunities.
Requirements:
Experience: At least 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on Security Operations, Cyber Defense, or SOC transformation roles.
Leadership: At least 1 year of experience in a leadership or managerial position (e.g., team lead, workstream lead, project lead).
Advisory Skills: Proven ability to independently engage with senior client stakeholders and provide strategic guidance.
Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, and MxDR solutions, with familiarity in:
Google Chronicle
Microsoft Defender / Sentinel
CrowdStrike
Splunk
Cyber Defense Knowledge: Solid understanding of modern Cyber Defense processes, including threat detection, automation, and analytics.
Consulting Experience: Demonstrated success in delivering consulting engagements and working in client-facing roles.
Skills: Strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical abilities.
Language: Fluency in Dutch is essential, both spoken and written.
