Team lead in Utilities
Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Team Lead with a robust background in Utilities and a proven record of accomplishment in IT-implementations, specifically focused on MIGDGO/MIG6 (a market model defining the processes to exchange information between the various market roles on the distribution level in the energy market).
The ideal candidate will blend team management with in-depth content expertise, steering functional & technical profiles while acting as a functional subject-matter expert (SME) guiding the team.
Your Job
As a Team Lead in Utilities at Accenture, you will have the opportunity to work on impactful projects for leading companies in the Utilities sector.
In your team management role at the client, you will:
- Collaborate with your functional and technical team to translate business requirements into concrete work items.
- Plan and prioritize work items to ensure timely delivery aligned to the project milestones.
- Implement and enforce best practices throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Conduct regular team meetings to discuss project progress, address risks, and provide guidance and support to team members.
- Provide, when needed, constructive pushback and challenge both your team and the client, with as primary goal to foster an environment of continuous improvement and productivity increase.
- Demonstrate resilience, adaptability, and a strong ability to maintain composure while meeting tight deadlines and handling challenging situations with efficiency and professionalism.
In your functional SME role at the client, you will:
- Support the team members in understanding the business requirements and conducting a thorough impact analysis of them.
- Review the detailed functional documentation for completeness and correctness.
- Provide advice to the technical team in choosing between technical solution alternatives.
- Mentor the junior members to enhance their functional knowledge.
- Offer insights, recommendations and solutions based on your functional expertise to tackle complex problems.
In addition to client work, you will actively contribute to the Technology Resources community. Your involvement in our initiatives and mentoring of junior team members will not only enhance our collective growth but also demonstrate your commitment to nurturing talent within the practice.
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience in the Utilities sector, specifically as a Team Lead in an IT-implementation project related to MIGDGO/MIG6.
- Functional specialization in MIGDGO/MIG6 with at least three years of experience in this area,. Specialization in the Structure and Rectification domains is a plus.
- Affinity for technology with a keen interest in data.
- Demonstrated coaching and mentoring experience in Utilities business processes.
- Deep understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Experience in collaborating with offshore development team.
- Strong facilitation and conflict resolution skills to empower teams and drive results.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills fostering collaboration and building strong relationships.
- Curious, pro-active and a true team player who works to the best of your abilities and inspires colleagues along the way.
- Perfectly fluent in English, Dutch/French and can express in French/Dutch.
