Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Develop test plans and test cases for electrification features BMS SOC SOH accuracy cell balancing performance motor control dynamic response OBC efficiency and charging protocol conformance
2. Build and maintain battery cell simulator HIL bench Bit rode FTV SFC Digatron DCS Chroma 17020 or AVL E Storage for BMS hardware and software validation
3. Configure motor inverter HIL test environment d SPACE SCALEXION with motor emulation for FOC and regenerative braking tests
4. Execute ISO 15118 2 20 charging protocol conformance testing PLC communication validation EXI message integrity TLS certificate handshake and V2G session timing
5. Perform ISO 26262 ASIL D safety mechanism tests HVIL fault injection insulation resistance alarm cell overvoltage undervoltage overcurrent and overtemperature protection validation
6. Develop automated regression test scripts using Python CAPL or MATLAB Simulink for BMS function level regression across temperature and SOC operating ranges
7. Execute power electronics performance tests inverter efficiency map THD Total Harmonic Distortion OBC power factor and DC DC converter load regulation
8. Validate charging system interoperability CCS Combo 1 2 AC DC CHAdeMO GBT 20234 and ISO 15118 Plug and Charge PnC with third party EVSE equipment
9. Analyze test results using MATLAB Python data analytics generate SOC error plots efficiency maps and thermal performance dashboards
10. Maintain requirements traceability matrix and ASPICE VV documentation per SWE 4 SWE 6 and ISO 26262 Part 6 test requirements
Professional & Technical Skills:
1. Must Have Experience in electrification or power electronics VV BMS testing motor control HIL or EV charging system validation
2. Must Have Hands on battery cell simulator experience Bit rode Digatron Chroma Maccor or equivalent programmable power supply load
3. Must Have Knowledge of ISO 26262 ASIL D testing fault injection methodology safety mechanism coverage and diagnostic coverage assessment
4. Must Have Experience with motor inverter simulation environments d SPACE SCALEXION for FOC SVPWM test
5. Must Understand EV charging standards testing IEC 61851 1 ISO 15118 2 DIN 70121 and CCS CHAdeMO conformance
6. Must Have Proficiency in MATLAB Python and CAPL for BMS test automation and power electronics data analysis
7. Must Have Knowledge of power quality measurement Yokogawa WT series Hioki PW6001 for efficiency THD and PF measurement
8. Good to Have Experience with CharIN test system or Keysight SL1040A for ISO 15118 EV communication conformance testing
9. Good to Have Familiarity with EMC pre compliance testing for EV systems conducted emissions radiated emissions and immunity testing
10. Good to Have Knowledge of WLTP NEDC cycle testing on chassis dynamometer for range estimation and energy consumption validation
11. Good to Have Exposure to battery pack thermal validation thermocouple mapping coolant flow measurement and thermal runaway testing
12. Good to Have Understanding of functional safety confirmation measures test plan review test report review and safety case evidence
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 4 years of experience in Automotive Electrification, xEV Embedded Systems, BMS, Motor Control, OBC, or Powertrain domain.
- This position is based at our Pune office.
- A BE BTech or ME MTech in Electronics Electrical Power Electronics Automotive Engineering or Computer Science 15 years fulltime education required is necessary.
