Summary:
As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by investigating and resolving issues across various components of essential business systems. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying problems, analyzing system behavior, and ensuring smooth operation of critical applications. The position demands continuous monitoring, collaboration with different teams, and delivering timely solutions to maintain business continuity and optimize system performance.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, functional teams, and technical teams to analyze requirements and deliver effective SAP SD solutions.
- Lead and support end-to-end SAP SD processes including Order-to-Cash (OTC), Pricing, Billing, Shipping, Delivery Processing, and Credit Management.
- Configure, test, and support SAP SD functionalities based on business requirements.
- Analyze and resolve complex production issues and provide root cause analysis.
- Participate in system enhancements, upgrades, implementations, and support projects.
- Coordinate with cross-functional modules such as MM, FI, TSW and GTS.
- Support integration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and deployment activities.
- Engage with multiple stakeholders and contribute to key project and support decisions.
- Perform configuration changes in Sales Orders, Deliveries, Billing, Pricing, and Outputs based on the requirements.

FM :
- Support voyage creation, vessel nomination, contract execution, and freight settlement processes.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, vessel owners, chartering teams, and logistics teams.
- Analyze complex production issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Prepare functional specifications and support integration testing.
- Coordinate with SAP MM, FI, TM, Fiori Applications and external logistics systems or third party systems.
- Assist in testing, UAT and deployment activities.
- Lead defect management, testing, and release activities.
- Provide guidance and Mentor junior team members.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure alignment of support activities with business needs.
- Mentor junior team members to enhance their technical and problem-solving skills.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability and user satisfaction.

Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in SAP Sales and Distribution (SD), SAP SD Configuration, OTC Process Knowledge, Pricing & Billing, SAP S/4HANA basics.
- Knowledge of SD integration with MM and FI.
- Strong SAP SD Functional expertise.
- Pricing, Contracts, Billing, and Settlement.
- SAP S/4HANA Sales.
- IDoc and Interface knowledge.
- Marine Contract Management.
- Voyage Management - Voyage Creation and Execution Processes.
- Freight Contract and Demurrage process understanding.
- Design and implement solutions for voyage-related business processes.
- SAP S/4HANA implementation/support experience.
- Freight Settlement and Demurrage Calculations.
- Vessel Nomination Processes.
- Integration with SAP FI/TSW/MM etc and Logistics systems(Thirdparty).
- Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve complex system issues.
- Experience in troubleshooting and root cause analysis within enterprise software environments.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to implement effective solutions.
- Good communication skills to clearly document issues and interact with stakeholders.
- Familiarity with business process flows related to sales and distribution modules.
- Candidates should have experience in one or more of the following:
Charter Party Contracts, Voyage Creation & Scheduling, Vessel Nomination, Freight Contracts, Laytime Calculations, Marine Logistics Operations, Commodity Trading Processes, Vessel Performance Monitoring, Cargo Scheduling & Shipment Execution, Freight Cost Settlement, SAP Fiori Applications for Maritime Operations

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 8+ years of experience in SAP Sales and Distribution (SD).
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
