Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly technical DocuSign System Administrator to manage, configure, and optimize our DocuSign Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) and eSignature platforms. This role requires expertise in workflow automation, API integrations, security administration, and advanced system configurations to support enterprise-wide contract and document management needs. The candidate will play a key role in designing, deploying, and maintaining DocuSign solutions while ensuring compliance, security, and seamless integration with enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities:
1. System Administration & Platform Management
Administer and maintain DocuSign CLM and eSignature environments, ensuring system uptime, performance, and scalability.
Configure user roles, permissions, security policies, groups, access controls, and authentication mechanisms (SSO, SAML, OAuth).
Implement advanced DocuSign Admin settings, including Data Masking, Signing Order, Auto-tagging, and Workflow Routing.
Perform DocuSign Connect webhook configurations for real-time event notifications and integrations.
Monitor and maintain system logs, audit trails, and compliance reports.
2. Workflow Automation & Customization
Design and optimize automated contract workflows, template-based approvals, and advanced routing logic in DocuSign CLM.
Develop and manage Smart Clauses, Conditional Workflows, Field Validations, and Advanced Document Assembly.
Automate document generation, storage, and retrieval using DocuSign PowerForms, Bulk Send, and Envelope Custom Fields.
Implement Intelligent Document Recognition (IDR), OCR-based metadata extraction, and AI-driven contract analytics.
3. API Integration & System Connectivity
Develop and maintain custom API integrations between DocuSign CLM/eSignature and ERP, CRM, HRIS, procurement, and legal platforms (e.g., SAP, Workday, Salesforce, Coupa, Oracle, NetSuite, ServiceNow).
Implement DocuSign REST API v2.1 for dynamic envelope creation, signing workflows, and document retrieval.
4. Security, Compliance & Risk Management
Implement and enforce data security, encryption policies, access controls, and multi-factor authentication (MFA) for DocuSign environments.
Ensure compliance with GDPR, SOC2, HIPAA, FedRAMP, and industry-specific contract regulations.
Manage document retention policies, audit logging, and digital certificate configurations.
Conduct periodic security audits and penetration testing for risk assessment.
5. User Support, Training & Change Management
Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and system issue resolution for DocuSign CLM and eSignature users.
Develop and deliver end-user training, knowledge base articles, and best practice guides.
Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements, enhance system usability, and drive adoption.
Act as primary technical liaison between DocuSign, internal IT teams, and third-party vendors.
Required Technical Skills & Qualifications:
Core Technical Skills:
5+ years of hands-on experience administering DocuSign CLM and eSignature platforms.
Strong expertise in DocuSign API (REST v2.1), webhooks, and JSON-based integrations.
Proficiency in Scripting & Automation (Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, Node.js).
Experience integrating DocuSign with SAP, Oracle, Workday, NetSuite, Salesforce, Coupa, or ServiceNow.
Hands-on experience with SSO, SAML, OAuth authentication, and Active Directory integration.
Strong understanding of DocuSign Connect, Event Notification Service (ENS), and
Problem-Solving:
Identify and resolve technical challenges that arise during the implementation process.
Propose innovative solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Documentation:
Maintain detailed documentation of the implementation process, including configurations, workflows, and best practices.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay up-to-date with the latest DocuSign features and best practices.
Proactively identify opportunities to improve the implementation process and client experience.
