Summary:
As an Application Support Engineer – Quorum EC, a typical day involves supporting and maintaining the Quorum Energy Components (EC) application ecosystem for energy and utilities clients. The role requires monitoring application performance, troubleshooting incidents, managing database-related activities, and developing automation scripts to improve operational efficiency. The candidate will collaborate with business users, support teams, and technical stakeholders to ensure application stability, reliability, and continuous service improvement in a production support environment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
Contribute in providing solutions to work-related problems.
Support, maintain, and enhance Quorum EC applications to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
Monitor application health, analyze system issues, and perform troubleshooting activities.
Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation, monitoring, reporting, and operational support activities.
Execute database queries and perform basic database troubleshooting using Oracle Database.
Investigate application incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive actions.
Collaborate with business users and technical teams to resolve production issues and service requests.
Support application deployment, configuration, upgrades, and release management activities.
Maintain operational documentation, knowledge articles, and support procedures.
Ensure compliance with SLAs, incident management processes, and support governance standards.
Participate in continuous service improvement initiatives to enhance application reliability and operational efficiency.
Professional & Technical Skills:
Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Quorum EC Application.
Strong understanding of Quorum Energy Components (EC) application functionality and support processes.
Basic knowledge of Oracle Database, including SQL queries, data validation, and troubleshooting activities.
Hands-on experience in PowerShell scripting for automation and operational support.
Experience in application monitoring, issue resolution, and production support activities.
Understanding of application architecture, interfaces, and system integrations.
Knowledge of incident, problem, and change management processes.
Ability to analyze complex application issues and provide effective solutions.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Experience working with cross-functional teams in support and maintenance environments.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Additional Information:
The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Quorum EC Application Support or Energy Trading & Risk Management applications.
Experience in Application Managed Services (AMS) or Production Support environments is preferred.
Exposure to the Oil & Gas, Energy, or Utilities domain is highly preferred.
Experience with application automation and operational process optimization using PowerShell scripting is advantageous.
This position is based at multiple locations.
A 15 years full-time education is required.
