Role Summary
The Associate Director is a practice and business aligned leadership role responsible for driving growth, shaping large deals, overseeing strategic programs, and building long term client relationships.
The role focuses on portfolio ownership, solution governance, talent strategy, and business outcomes, with hands on depth where needed for critical architecture and delivery decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead large, multi-account or multi program Data & AI portfolios aligned to business strategy.
Own and drive RFPs, proposal strategy, solution differentiation, commercials, and client orals for strategic deals.
Act as an executive sponsor for large Lakehouse and Data Platform engagements, ensuring predictable delivery and business value realization.
Define and influence enterprise level data architecture, governance models, and operating frameworks.
Provide strategic direction on adoption of Databricks Lakehouse, Data Mesh, AI/ML, and GenAI capabilities.
Partner account leadership, and client executives to shape transformation roadmaps and long-term programs.
Ensure delivery excellence through strong governance, architecture reviews, and risk management.
Drive talent strategy including hiring, capability building, certification programs, and leadership development.
Build reusable industry solutions, accelerators, and assets to improve win rate and delivery efficiency.
Represent the organization as a thought leader through client forums, architecture councils, and innovation initiatives.
Track and improve financial performance including margin, utilization, and delivery sustainability.
Required Skills & Experience
20 + years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics, or Data Platform roles.
Proven experience leading large transformation programs and strategic client engagements.
Strong background in Data Architecture, Lakehouse platforms, and modern analytics ecosystems.
Demonstrated success in RFP ownership, deal shaping, and executive level client interactions.
Deep understanding of cloud and platform economics, delivery models, and governance frameworks.
Strong people leadership skills with experience building and scaling high performing teams.
Good to Have
Industry thought leadership or published accelerators / reference architectures.
Advanced certifications in Databricks, Cloud, or Enterprise Architecture.
Experience driving GenAI, AI led modernization, or data monetization initiatives.
Familiarity with global delivery models and large offshore / onshore programs.
Qualification:
