Summary:
As a Data Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain scalable data solutions that enable reliable data ingestion, transformation, and analytics across the organization. The role requires strong hands-on expertise in dbt and Python to develop modern ELT pipelines, ensure data quality, and support analytics and downstream consumption. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to migrate, optimize, and govern data workflows across platforms while ensuring high standards of performance, reliability, and data integrity.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for data engineering solutions, with a strong focus on dbt-based transformation frameworks and Python-driven pipelines.
Collaborate with, guide, and manage the team to deliver high-quality data engineering outcomes.
Own and drive technical decisions for the team and contribute to broader architectural and design decisions across multiple teams.
Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines using dbt, Python, and modern data platforms.
Lead initiatives to identify, analyze, and resolve complex data-related challenges, ensuring seamless data flow and accessibility.
Ensure best practices in data modeling, transformation logic, testing, and documentation using dbt.
Promote data quality, governance, and observability across the data lifecycle.
Foster a collaborative and learning-oriented environment through mentoring, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to align data engineering solutions with organizational and business goals.
Professional & Technical Skills:
Strong hands-on experience with dbt (data build tool) for data modeling, transformations, testing, and documentation.
Strong proficiency in Python, including building data pipelines, utilities, and automation for data processing.
Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Data Engineering.
Experience with designing and building scalable data pipelines and architectures.
Strong knowledge of data integration techniques and ETL processes.
Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and distributed computing frameworks.
Ability to optimize data workflows for performance and reliability.
Understanding of data governance and data quality best practices.
Additional Information:
The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Data Engineering.
This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
A 15 years full time education is required.
