Accenture Construct – Construction Inspector, ANS
You've Never Been Satisfied with "Good Enough."
You didn't get into this to manage one piece of a project. You got into it to change how the world gets built.
At Accenture Construct, that's the job. You'll help deliver the data centers, power grids, rail networks, factories and public infrastructure that keep communities moving — smarter, safer and more sustainably.
You'll work alongside people who think big and act bold: project managers, engineers, technologists and strategists who pair real-world delivery with AI. And you won't be handed a slice of it. We take on whole programs, from early strategy through construction and handover, and we stand behind how they land.
THE WORK:
- You’ll perform civil construction inspections across multiple projects within LAWA’s Capital Improvement Program as part of the Quality Assurance & Construction Inspection Division.
- You’ll inspect major reinforced-concrete construction, including pile foundations, roadways and bridges across multiple jurisdictions.
- You’ll inspect sanitary sewer systems, storm drains and related structures for compliance with City and County of Los Angeles standards.
- You’ll inspect exterior walls, roofing, waterproofing, interior framing, drywall, ceilings, flooring, interior finishes, doors and hardware.
- You’ll inspect street-lighting and traffic-signal installations using City of Los Angeles Bureau of Street Lighting and Los Angeles Department of Transportation specifications.
- You’ll assess construction against City of Los Angeles Standard Plans and Specifications, the Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction (Greenbook), Caltrans Standard Plans and Specifications, and applicable safety requirements.
- You’ll monitor compliance with multi-phase, site-specific traffic-control plans, with particular attention to pedestrian safety and routing, and enforce Cal/OSHA, contractor and LAWA safety requirements.
- You’ll prepare daily inspection reports documenting construction activities, issues, deficiencies and safety concerns; review contractor monthly progress-payment requests against completed work and approved schedules of values; and use electronic equipment and project-management information systems to review plans, RFIs, submittals and change orders.
- Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships. You may be required to work various shifts, including day, swing, and night.
$70 - $77 an hour
HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- A current Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety Grading Deputy License or Deputy Post-Tensioning (Pre-Stressed) License
- At least five years of experience inspecting Caltrans bridge, roadway and structure projects, or at least 10 years of experience as a superintendent on Caltrans bridge, roadway and structure projects
- At least 10 years of public-works field-inspection experience focused on heavy-civil and roadway construction, or at least 10 years of experience as a superintendent on Caltrans bridge, roadway and structure projects
- A high school diploma or equivalent, plus proof of Cal/OSHA 30-hour training completed within the four years before your official start date
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
-
Experience installing or inspecting sewer and storm-drain systems, utility infrastructure and traffic-control measures
-
Working knowledge of City of Los Angeles, County of Los Angeles and Caltrans standards
