About the Role
As a Commerce Architect, you’ll play a critical role in bridging business strategy and technical execution. Leveraging your expertise in commerce technologies, you’ll design solutions that meet immediate needs while supporting long-term goals. This role involves collaborating with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure project success, from early solution design through to post-launch evaluation.
Key Responsibilities
Design commerce solutions: shape long-term commerce solutions by defining strategy, architecture, and roadmaps, identifying opportunities and challenges.
Stakeholder Collaboration: partner with business and technical teams to ensure solutions meet both functional and strategic objectives.
Architectural Leadership: create the architectural blueprint and assess trade-offs, with a focus on scalability, performance and alignment with business goals.
Component Selection and Optimization: recommend architecture components and continuously improve solutions for performance, cost, security, scalability, and user experience.
Business Growth Support: contribute to client Request for Proposals (RFPs) and business development efforts with your deep knowledge of commerce technologies.
Collaboration and Mentorship: collaborate closely with engineering, development and delivery teams. Further, guide junior colleagues, sharing best practices and fostering a culture of growth and learning.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s and/or master’s in computer science, information technology, software engineering, or related field.
Experience: 2+ years in large-scale commerce solutions (B2B or B2C), focusing on key areas like content management, product management, checkout, and payment.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with modern commerce platforms (e.g., SAP, Salesforce, Adobe Commerce) and supporting systems, including Content Management Systems (CMS) and Product Information Management (PIM) solutions. Proficiency with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), API-driven architectures, and composable commerce.
End-to-End Delivery: Experience managing full solution lifecycles.
Agile Approach: Skilled in working within Agile teams, using methodologies like SAFe, Scrum or DevOps.
Languages: Fluent in English, both written and spoken and preferably one of the Nordic languages as well.
