Payroll Operations Senior Analyst
Location: Cairo, Egypt
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Operations Senior Analyst to join our team in Cairo. This role will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and company policies, and driving process improvements. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, deep knowledge of Egyptian payroll regulations, and a proven ability to manage payroll cycles with accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and execute monthly payroll processing for employees in Egypt, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with statutory regulations.
Validate payroll inputs such as new hires, terminations, salary adjustments, overtime, benefits, and deductions.
Prepare and reconcile payroll reports, ensuring alignment with finance and accounting requirements.
Stay updated on changes in Egyptian labor law, social insurance, and tax regulations; implement necessary updates in payroll processes.
Act as the main point of contact for payroll-related queries, resolving employee concerns with professionalism and discretion.
Collaborate with HR, Finance, and external vendors to ensure smooth payroll operations and accurate reporting.
Conduct regular audits to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance payroll processes, automation, and reporting efficiency.
Support regional/global payroll projects and compliance initiatives as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
4–6 years of proven experience in payroll operations, preferably in multinational or large-scale organizations.
Strong knowledge of Egyptian labor law, income tax, and social insurance regulations.
Experience with HRIS and payroll systems (e.g., Workday or similar).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong analytical/reporting skills.
High attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet strict deadlines.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Fluency in English and Arabic, both written and spoken.
