Summary:
As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by actively monitoring and investigating issues across various components of essential business systems. This role requires a dynamic approach to identifying problems, analyzing their root causes, and ensuring timely resolution to maintain smooth business operations. The position demands continuous engagement with system performance and user feedback to provide effective support and enhance system reliability within a fast-paced environment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and support of business applications.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in SAP for Retail.
- Design, Configuration and Documentation – POS Inbound from CAR and IS RETAIL.
- PIPE and Sales audit configuration
- Configuring/Defining aggregation tasks, One step and Two step processing, Outbound tasks, Discount codes etc.,
- Configuring different types of transactions (sales, tender, goods movements, financial transactions etc.,)
- Responsible for Customization, Unit Testing and Integration Testing with various third-party legacy and warehouse systems etc.
- Design, Configuration and Documentation – POS Inbound from CAR and FMS
- Responsible for Data Migration using LSMW and Winshuttle.
- Responsible for Creating functional specifications addressing user exits, enhancement points, transactions, custom objects, interfaces, and conversions.
- Responsible for PTP, MD cutover activities during Go-Live phase of the project.
- Responsible for resolving defects/CRs within stipulated time as per SLA.
- WPU* IDOC monitoring in CAR and ECC
- IDOC mapping to ECC accounting document knowledge
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities related to enterprise software environments.
- Experience in managing and supporting critical business applications with a focus on minimizing downtime.
- Ability to analyze complex system interactions and provide clear, actionable solutions.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools and incident management processes to ensure prompt issue resolution.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in SAP for Retail.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
