Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, your day involves creating tailored software solutions by designing, coding, and improving various components within systems or applications. You engage in collaborative environments that emphasize agile methodologies and modern frameworks to ensure the delivery of scalable and efficient software. Your work focuses on meeting unique business requirements through innovative and high-quality software development practices, contributing to the overall success of projects and organizational goals.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop and enhance Oracle SQL/PLSQL code (procedures, packages, performance tuning).
- Build reporting datasets and queries for Corporate Payments and Treasury operational reporting.
- Integrate and query distributed data using Starburst.
- Develop and maintain MicroStrategy schema objects, dashboards, and reporting layers.
- Troubleshoot data and reporting issues in UAT and production.
- Collaborate with onshore teams and deliver required documentation
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver effective software solutions.
- Maintain and enhance existing software components to improve performance and reliability.
- Document development processes and code changes to support knowledge sharing and future maintenance.
- Assist junior team members by providing guidance and support to foster their professional growth.

Professional & Technical Skills:
- Strong Oracle DB development (SQL, performance optimisation).
- Advanced SQL skills across complex, high-volume datasets.
- Hands-on experience with Starburst.
- Working experience with MicroStrategy (metrics, attributes, dashboards)
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Oracle Procedural Language Extensions to SQL (PLSQL).
- Strong knowledge of database design principles and experience in writing efficient queries and stored procedures.
- Ability to troubleshoot and optimize complex database operations to enhance application performance.
- Experience with version control systems and collaborative development workflows.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail in software coding and debugging.
- Proven experience delivering solutions across the full SDLC, with strong emphasis on controls, audit - -requirements, resiliency, and production robustness.
- Hands-on expertise with GitHub Copilot, Copilot Studio

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Oracle Procedural Language Extensions to SQL (PLSQL).
- This position is based at our Chennai office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
