Project Role Description : Provide consultative Business and System Integration services to help clients implement effective solutions. Summary:
The SAP S/4HANA Pre-Study Consultant – Stock Accounting is responsible for evaluating current inventory accounting processes, identifying risks, and designing future-state stock valuation and accounting architecture in S/4HANA. The role ensures alignment with Universal Journal principles, Material Ledger requirements, and IFRS/GAAP compliance while preparing a roadmap for S/4HANA implementation. It acts as the key link between Finance, Supply Chain, and Production teams during the pre-study phase.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Perform AS-IS assessments of inventory valuation, material ledger use, actual costing, GR/IR, and MM–FI reconciliations, identifying compliance risks and process gaps.
- Design TO-BE S/4HANA stock accounting architecture, including valuation strategy, parallel/multi-currency valuation, real-time MM–FI integration, and Material Ledger activation.
- Define core functional areas such as inventory valuation, split/batch valuation, GR/IR automation, production costing (WIP, variances, settlement), and intercompany stock valuation flows.
- Lead data, controls, and reporting design covering material master, valuation structures, internal controls, and KPIs (e.g., inventory aging, stock turnover, reconciliation metrics).
- Facilitate workshops with Finance Controllers, Supply Chain, Plant Finance, and Costing teams produce fit-gap analyses, architecture design documents, risk assessments, and implementation roadmaps.

Professional & Technical Skills:
- 8+ years SAP FI/CO experience with strong MM and PP integration hands-on S/4HANA expertise with mandatory Material Ledger knowledge.
- Strong functional skills in inventory valuation, actual costing, product costing, GR/IR clearing, financial close, and compliance with IFRS/GAAP.
- Technical awareness of Universal Journal (ACDOCA), CDS-based reporting, and embedded analytics/SAC (nice to have).
- Excellent workshop facilitation, analytical skills, documentation ability, and capability to translate finance requirements into system design.
- Experience across industries such as Manufacturing, Automotive, Consumer Goods, Retail, and Pharma.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in SAP FI CO Finance.
- This position is based at our Gurugram office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
