Associate Manager - SAP Tax and DRC Lead
Job Description:
We are seeking a hands-on and experienced SAP Tax and Document & Reporting Compliance (DRC) Lead at the Associate Manager level to support a major SAP transformation program. This role will focus on designing, implementing, and managing SAP Tax and DRC processes, ensuring alignment with local regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will collaborate with finance teams, functional consultants, and external auditors to ensure accurate tax calculations, reporting, and e-invoicing compliance. This position requires strong expertise in SAP Tax and DRC processes, leadership skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality solutions in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of SAP Tax and DRC processes, including e-invoicing and statutory reporting, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations.
Collaborate with finance, accounting, and legal stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment with regulatory and business needs.
Guide the integration of Tax and DRC processes with SAP FI/CO, REX, and other relevant modules to ensure seamless end-to-end process flows.
Support testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring system readiness and successful implementation.
Maintain and update tax configuration documentation, calculation rules, and reporting templates to reflect changes in business or regulatory requirements.
Track and resolve issues, defects, and regulatory queries, escalating to appropriate stakeholders as required.
Provide expert guidance and mentoring to junior team members on SAP Tax and DRC topics, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Ensure all deliverables adhere to SAP standards, governance, and compliance requirements.
Monitor changes in tax legislation and update SAP configuration accordingly to ensure ongoing compliance.
Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory bodies to address compliance requirements and audits.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Experience:
6-8 years of experience in SAP Finance, with a focus on Tax and Document & Reporting Compliance (DRC) processes.
Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Tax and DRC modules is required.
Proven track record of leading SAP implementation or transformation projects in a managerial or leadership capacity.
Technical Skills:
Strong expertise in SAP Tax and DRC processes, including e-invoicing, statutory reporting, and tax calculation rules.
Familiarity with integration points between Tax/DRC and other SAP modules such as FI/CO and REX.
Experience in preparing functional specifications for custom developments and enhancements.
Proficiency in SAP tools and technologies, including SAP Fiori and SAP Solution Manager.
Leadership and Management Skills:
Proven ability to lead and manage teams, ensuring successful project delivery.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex functional issues.
Experience in process mapping, gap analysis, and designing solutions to meet business and regulatory requirements.
Communication and Collaboration Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with business stakeholders, technical teams, and external auditors.
Strong collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and ensure seamless process integration.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field.
SAP certifications in Tax or DRC-related areas are a plus.
