Role of the Agency Team
The Agency team supports all of Accenture media relations – across geographies, industries, functions and strategy and insights. Senior analysts on the team tell the Accenture story through multiple lenses and formats to help the company strengthen and advance its impact and growth in the marketplace. By supporting content development, market analysis and pitches, analysts help advance Marketing + Communications’ goals and serve as stewards of the highest editorial standards.
Position Description
The analyst Media Relations - Corporate Communications person will help promote, protect, and defend the Accenture brand, with a focus on the United Kingdom and Ireland (UKI), the Middle East and Italy.
The candidate is a highly motivated media relations professional with impeccable writing skills and a detail-oriented, proactive team player who possesses exemplary judgment and an ability to turn abstract and complicated issues and information into simple and powerful narratives.
Responsibilities
Work closely with media team members in the UKI, Middle East and Italy, client engagement teams and other relevant parties, as appropriate to support media pitching, planning and help shape ideas and narratives that align with Accenture’s strategic messages and themes.
Support would include reporting and planning (such as preparing corporate communications calendars), media outreach and outcome tracking, creating and distributing coverage reports, and helping to prepare briefing documents for teams across EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa) markets.
Collaborate with media leads, industry marketing, client executives and other relevant parties to help develop content and lead timely responses to media requests.
Ensure technical language is written in a clear and accessible manner.
Monitor the competitive landscape for media mentions and share of voice, applying this knowledge to improve Accenture’s overall position in the industry.
Uphold highest editorials standards and ensure application of Accenture style guide.
Preferred Skills
Experience with media relations around brand, marketing, or journalism.
Maintain a consistent level of high quality across all written work.
Knowledge of core marketing communications and editorial essentials, including strategic message development, executive communications and AP style writing.
Strong organizational skills, with ability to successfully manage multiple assignments simultaneously while collaborating with a team of marketing and communications professionals, including contractors and third-party vendors.
Able to meet tight deadlines and adapt to changing timelines.
Able to work effectively – and at speed – across functional and geographic groups.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting.
Experienced in using AI tools (eg Co-Pilot) to help with admin and content tasks.
Fluent in English language - written and oral.
Italian language skills helpful, but not mandatory.
Considerations
Flexibility to accommodate pre-scheduled global meetings, across all geographies.
Preferred Experience
One to three years of communications and/or writing experience in English.
