Summary:
As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by diligently investigating and resolving issues that arise within various components of essential business systems. This role requires a proactive approach to monitoring system performance, identifying root causes of disruptions, and ensuring the smooth operation of critical applications. The position demands collaboration with different teams to maintain system stability and deliver timely solutions that support business continuity and efficiency.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
-Implemented and managed Cisco ASA Firewall deployments, upgrades, and configurations across versions 8.x and 9.x, with 7+ years of hands-on experience.
-Performed detailed assessment and research of proposed network changes prior to implementation to ensure minimal risk and business impact.
-Designed, tested, and validated new network and firewall configurations in lab environments before production deployment.
-Collaborated with Project Managers to plan, schedule, and execute network change activities in alignment with project timelines.
-Led end-to-end firewall migration projects, including planning, implementation, validation, and post-migration support.
-Developed and maintained comprehensive security implementation documentation, technical designs, and network diagrams for all projects.
-Conducted research on emerging technologies, network designs, and security solutions to address current and future enterprise networking challenges.
-Worked closely with customers, stakeholders, and project managers to deliver projects within agreed timelines and meet business requirements.
-Ensured adherence to security best practices, change management processes, and organizational standards during implementation activities.
-Provided technical expertise and troubleshooting support for complex network and firewall-related issues during project execution and operational phases.
-Participated in design reviews and recommended infrastructure improvements to enhance network security, performance, and scalability.
-Coordinated with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of firewall solutions within enterprise network environments.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must Have Skills: Proficiency in Network Infrastructures.
-Provide technical assistance to Customer security team and Network Tier 3 team on open security requests and incidents
-Develop run book for enterprise security Support
-Develop communication maps
-Train the Tier 2 and Tier 3 on the process
-CCNP/CCIE security certification
-ITIL Certifications
-AWS associate certification
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 2 years of experience in Network Infrastructures.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
