About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Manager – Employment Law to manage and oversee legal aspects related to employment practices. This role involves handling end-to-end employment litigation, supporting employee relations matters, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and internal policies. The ideal candidate will work closely with HR and ER teams to provide strategic legal guidance while mitigating organizational risk.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end employment litigation, including legal notices and dispute resolution
  • Coordinate with external counsel and ensure effective case management
  • Provide legal advice on employee relations and workplace matters
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable employment laws
  • Advise on POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) matters
  • Support disciplinary proceedings and performance-related actions
  • Handle retrenchment processes in line with statutory requirements
  • Interpret and implement changes in labour laws and regulations

Partner with HR and ER teams to address legal risks proactively

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Employment Law
  • Strong knowledge of Indian Labour Codes and employment legislation
  • Experience in managing complex employment matters
  • Prior experience in the IT industry is preferred

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Sound legal judgment
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to balance business objectives with legal compliance
  • Proactive approach to risk identification and mitigation
