Kris Timmermans leads Accenture's Supply Chain & Operations function and is a member of Accenture’s Global Management Committee.
Kris’s mission is clear: Help clients reimagine, build and operate the autonomous supply chain networks of the future to positively impact business, society and the planet. He leads Accenture’s Supply Chain & Operations business.
Kris has over three decades of experience in Supply Chain & Operations at Accenture, working with various industries such as consumer goods, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and industrials. Using latest techniques of cost and productivity reinvention, Kris has innovatively led many end-to-end transformations of Supply Chains, connecting people, data and technology—often making those transformations self-funded.
Leading a global network of more than 50,000 supply chain professionals, Kris is a strong advocate for cooperation and partner networks as essential elements of modernization and ethical business. Kris also serves on Accenture’s Global Management Committee.
Kris has written a book called The Big Zero, which explains the advantages of having a zero-based mindset (ZBx). He has also co-written several articles on supply networks, including A Simpler Way to Modernize Your Supply Chain for the Harvard Business Review. He is a regular contributor to various industry publications, with his most recent articles on how autonomous supply chain can build resilience, agility, and strategic advantage - Inbound Logistics | Autonomous Supply Chains: Why Now?
Kris has a master's degree in mechanical and electronics engineering from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium, and did part of his thesis at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
