The following skills and experience are essential for this role:
The Technical Business Analyst acts as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, ensuring that business requirements are translated into clear, actionable, and technically feasible solutions. The role involves requirements elicitation, process analysis, solution design, data analysis, and support throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Experience in utilising one or more structured techniques for requirements elicitation and refinement such as Observation, Interviews, Workshops or Prototyping
Experience in utilising one or more structured techniques for solution design such as Design Thinking, UML or BPMN
The ability to understand business change needs, and can assess the business impact of those changes, capturing, analysing and documenting requirements and supporting the communication and delivery of requirements with relevant stakeholders
The ability to understand business needs and requirements and can translate into actionable design documentation, supporting the communication with relevant stakeholders.
Experience working with product owners, project managers, architects, testers and developers to collaboratively design and deliver solutions. Able to articulate solutions to stakeholders with different degrees of technical knowledge. Some experience of leading a team, collaborating with or managing junior resources.
Demonstrate an ability to problem solve while confidently and effectively manage relationships, communication and delivery upwards across internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrate an ability to:
Adapt to new clients or technologies.
Analyse complex business processes and identify opportunities for optimisation and automation.
Support solution design activities, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical constraints.
Create and maintain requirements documentation, process maps, data models and solution artefacts.
Experience working with various software delivery and project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Excel.
Experience in analysing data to infer conclusions to inform systems design, create requirements (functional and non-functional) and informed decision making in project delivery.
The ability to understand business needs and requirements and can translate into actionable design documentation, supporting the communication with relevant stakeholders.
Experience in developing strong and collaborative relationships with external clients / customers
