Design System Specialist- UX/UI
Role Overview
We are looking for a UX/UI Designer with 3 years+ experience in the Life Sciences industry and deep expertise in Figma design systems to join our Accenture Song team. This person should be able to design high-quality digital experiences, build and scale complex omni-channel design systems, and embed AI into modern design workflows in a practical and valuable way.
The ideal candidate is a strategic and hands-on designer who is also confident in client-facing environments, capable of managing projects, stakeholders, while delivering in a collaborative, high performing team. They will lean in, be creative, and have a passion for design. They should be adaptable, curious, and motivated to learn and apply emerging creative technologies in today’s evolving market.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead UX and UI design across discovery, wireframing, prototyping, visual design and handoff to development team
- Design beautiful, user-centred experiences for complex digital products and platforms.
- Build, scale and maintain advanced Figma based design systems, component libraries, and reusable patterns.
- Apply Life Sciences industry knowledge to create solutions suited to regulated and complex environments.
- Integrate AI tools and workflows to improve design efficiency, innovation, and delivery.
- Work directly with clients and stakeholders to define needs, shape solutions and build trust.
- Scope projects, support planning, and contribute to delivery across multiple workstreams.
- Share knowledge, drive collaboration and high standards.
- Proven experience in a UX/UI Designer or similar role.
- Strong background in the Life Sciences, Pharma, Healthcare or related sector.
- Advanced expertise in Figma, including complex design systems and scalable component structures.
- Experience working in client-facing roles and managing senior stakeholders.
- Ability to scope projects, manage priorities and adapt to changing requirements.
- Experience working with design teams in multiple locations/time zones.
- Strong understanding of AI in design workflows and the current digital landscape.
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.

This role is ideal for a designer who can combine UX/UI excellence, Life Sciences experience, design system expertise and AI-enabled ways of working. The successful candidate will be a strong designer, team player with excellent communication skills.
