As a team:

In the Infrastructure & Capital Projects team, we shape how infrastructure is built and managed. We drive innovation by delivering the best-in-class management consultancy based on industrial experience maximised by the latest technologies. Infrastructure & Capital Projects is one of Accenture’s biggest global growth areas, shown by recent acquisitions announced in this area, and you will be joining at a pivotal moment of growth.

About us:

We help clients deliver some of the most complex energy, transport and infrastructure programmes by fusing industry risk expertise with advanced analytics, automation and cloud platforms. From portfolio risk intelligence to project-level decision support, our team uses AI‑augmented insight, digital twins, and interactive dashboards to improve confidence, compress decision cycles and drive better outcomes across EMEA.

The opportunity:

Join us to embed risk-by-design across development, design and construction—moving beyond traditional registers to predictive, data‑driven risk management. You’ll work in multidisciplinary squads with planners, commercial managers and engineers, leveraging QRA, scenario modelling and live data to inform contingency, confidence levels and executive decision-making. At Manager level, you’ll shape portfolio‑wide risk strategies, standards and digital enablement.

Key responsibilities:

Project & Programme Risk Management

  • Lead/support risk processes aligned to agreed frameworks and digitally enabled workflows (e.g., integrated risk platforms, automated notifications).

  • Facilitate structured risk workshops and drive data quality—linking risks to schedule, cost and commercial assumptions for traceability.

  • Track emerging risks and mitigation performance with live KPIs; escalate against tolerances using visual risk signals.

Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA) & Decision Support

  • Deliver QRA/QSRA to inform contingency and confidence; translate qualitative risks into robust quantitative inputs and sensitivity models.

  • Use predictive techniques and risk driver analysis to highlight what really matters; present decision‑ready insights in interactive formats for senior stakeholders.

  • (Manager) Lead scenario modelling and options analysis; coach teams in QRA best practice.

Governance, Reporting & Assurance

  • Run periodic risk reviews and portfolio forums; produce executive‑level summaries showing trends, exposure changes and return‑on‑mitigation.

  • Ensure auditability and alignment between risk registers, cost plans, schedules and commercial baselines through integrated data models.

  • (Manager) Set risk standards and portfolio reporting that scales across programmes and supply chains.

Stakeholder Engagement & Integration

  • Act as a trusted advisor—embedding proportionate, value‑adding risk thinking into project and governance decisions.

  • Partner closely with PMs, planners, commercial managers, designers and contractors to operationalise risk insights.

  • (Manager) Mentor teams and uplift risk maturity across regions.

Continuous Improvement

  • Analyse outcomes to identify themes; convert lessons learned into preventative controls, automation opportunities and stronger processes.

  • Contribute to evolving risk guidance, tools, templates and training, including data standards and dashboards.

Experience we are looking for:

Essential:

  • Proven capital project risk experience with strong facilitation skills across multi‑project environments.

  • Solid knowledge of qualitative and quantitative risk techniques, including supporting QRA/QSRA activities.

  • Ability to translate complex uncertainty into clear, actionable insight for project teams and stakeholders.

  • Practical experience coordinating risk workshops and contributing to risk processes, with motivation to deepen analytical capability.

  • Comfortable working in fast‑paced, high‑volume project settings with clear, structured communication skills.

Manager-level:

  • Leads risk reviews and QRA/QSRA delivery, presenting confidently to senior stakeholders and operating autonomously across multiple projects.

  • Sets and assures risk frameworks, governance processes and analytical standards across programmes or portfolios.

  • Coaches and uplifts team capability while shaping portfolio‑level risk strategy and providing expert challenge.

Set yourself apart with a background in data centres or major infrastructure (energy, water, transport); exposure to estimating, scheduling and contingency; experience working on EMEA‑scale programmes.

Shape risk management with next‑gen tech, access global communities of practice, gain analytics training, and advance your career across a high‑growth portfolio—while helping deliver sustainable, resilient infrastructure for the future.
