About The Role
We’re looking for an Innovation Lead (Manager) to join our Business, Product & Commercial Strategy team at The Dock. In this role, you will shape and deliver high impact innovation and commercial strategy projects—from early opportunity discovery through incubation, transition, and launch. You’ll connect teams, guide strategic direction, and help turn emerging ideas and technologies into scalable, market ready business propositions.
This role blends product strategy, commercial thinking, and cross disciplinary leadership. You’ll define where innovation meets real value, build strong commercial cases, develop pricing approaches, and empower teams to bring new products, platforms, and ecosystem plays to life.
Every project is different—ranging from pilotable assets to software solutions and new offerings—so you’ll bring clarity, structure, and commercial rigour to fast moving, complex environments.
What You’ll Do:
Lead end‑to‑end delivery of innovation, commercial, and strategic projects, ensuring high‑quality outcomes that meet client needs.
Scope opportunities, shape project direction, and proactively identify ways to drive impact and value.
Act as a trusted partner and visible lead with clients and internal stakeholders.
Develop and mentor team members, ensuring strong performance and growth.
Spot and shape new innovation, product, or commercial opportunities for clients, Accenture, and our wider ecosystem.
Facilitate engaging, outcome‑driven client sessions and contribute to ongoing strategic and commercial initiatives.
Guide the vision, roadmap, and backlog across the full project lifecycle.
Apply industry or capability expertise to deliver meaningful business, innovation, and commercial results.
Build commercial cases, define pricing strategies, and quantify customer and business value.
Operate effectively within large, matrixed organisations—balancing influence, alignment, and decisive action.
What We’re Looking For:
Proven experience taking new products, business strategies, or commercial initiatives from early concept through to market‑ready propositions.
Strong client‑centric approach with the ability to understand challenges, shape solutions, and deliver measurable commercial impact.
Excellent communication, storytelling, and stakeholder‑management skills, with the confidence to influence at all levels.
Hands‑on leadership across the full software development lifecycle, guiding multidisciplinary teams from initiation through launch.
Strong commercial acumen, including the ability to build business cases, quantify value, and tackle complex strategic challenges while inspiring and enabling high‑performing teams.
Bonus Points For:
MBA or equivalent qualification.
Experience in innovation hubs, venture studios, or incubation environments.
Familiarity with ecosystem driven business models or platform strategies.
Contribution to thought leadership, community initiatives, or industry facing activities.
