Summary:
As a Data Engineer, a typical day involves designing, developing, and maintaining comprehensive data solutions that support the generation, collection, and processing of data. The role includes creating efficient data pipelines and ensuring the seamless migration and deployment of data across various systems. Attention to data quality and the implementation of extract, transform, and load processes are central to daily activities, enabling smooth data flow and accessibility for multiple stakeholders. Collaboration with different teams to align data strategies and troubleshoot issues is also a key part of the work environment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead efforts to optimize data workflows and improve system performance.
- Mentor junior team members to support their professional growth and skill development.
- Coordinate cross-functional initiatives to ensure alignment of data engineering goals with organizational objectives.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in PySpark.
- Experience in building scalable data pipelines and implementing ETL processes.
- Strong knowledge of distributed computing frameworks and big data technologies.
- Ability to work with large datasets and optimize data processing workflows.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and data storage solutions.
- Competence in troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues efficiently.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in PySpark.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
