As a fresh graduate, I think it’s great to be exposed to the firm’s truly end-to-end capabilities. During my 2 years here, I have worked with many client facing teams we have in Greater China. I must say, the skillset and expertise each team brings to the table is unique and irreplaceable, while the experience of working on projects with different natures, in different geographies, and among different talents is absolutely exiting.

In addition, as part of the Strategy team, we are all trained at the St. Charles campus in Chicago alongside other Strategy practitioners globally. On a regular basis, there are also trainings arranged by different members across the firm teaching about unique skillsets and/or sharing client project experiences.

How I put change in motion

I am currently working with one of the global hotel giants. The project surrounds sales and marketing data analytics, where I am especially focused on engaging their Revenue Management and Partnerships teams. In my current role, I need to quickly assimilate different pieces of information we collected through interviews with them to bring forward a point of view on analytics we believe they could do to streamline their business.

Through my array of projects, I have gotten to know the hospitality industry quite well. Different projects with different hospitality players have allowed me to experience a range of front-end customer facing projects as well as more back-end projects.

As I continue to work on more E2E digital transformational projects, I have worked with a wide range of talents and teams within Accenture. We worked as One Accenture team to bring real value to client. For example, from my previous project with a Cruise client, the first strategy led phase called for a close collaboration of the strategy team with the UI and UX designers. As I was tasked with customer research, I worked closely with a UX designer to construct a to-be customer journey incorporating service concepts. In the second phase of the project, where we implemented proposed solutions, I worked closely with our technology and management consulting colleagues.

What I get

On a previous project for an automobile client, I worked in a close-knit integrated team with the client to deliver an omni-channel retail customer strategy in a tight timeframe. Under the lean set up of the project team, I had the opportunity to sit between communications of our senior leadership and the client working team. In that project, I organized and conducted customer focus groups to gather insights on a sales strategy, where participants included both the client working team as well as real customers. With the research conducted, I worked closely with the client to deliver a final deliverable used as a read-out to CDO (Chief Digital Officer) of the client group. I am very grateful that I was given the opportunity from our leadership to give a presentation of my findings to the CDO.
