Omar Boulos

Market Unit Lead – Middle East and Africa

Omar Boulos is the CEO of the Middle East and Africa Market Unit at Accenture, where he oversees the business across all industries in the region and holds a position on Accenture’s Global Management Committee. 

Leading a diverse and extensive team, Omar is responsible for orchestrating Accenture’s vision to deliver on the promise of technology and human ingenuity for clients across Middle East and Africa. He leverages Accenture's unique position to create unparalleled 360° value for clients, partners, and communities. His deep cross-functional expertise spans across critical areas, including supply chain optimization, workforce transformation, manufacturing execution and operational planning. His global experience, gained through leading engagements in North America, China, Europe and the Middle East provides a strategic focus as Accenture accelerates its growth trajectory in the region. 

Prior to his current role, Omar served as the Client Group Lead for US South Resources and the Resources Industry Group Lead for North America. In these roles, he guided clients through significant market disruptions, creating a resilient portfolio by partnering with C-suite executives on their Total Enterprise Reinvention journeys. He also executed a client portfolio strategy to expand market share and cultivated an inclusive environment that leveraged the full breadth of Accenture’s capabilities. 

Omar previously served as the regional business lead for the Middle East and North Africa. He was instrumental in building the regional business from the ground up, leading the charge since the company opened its first office in the region in 2011. He focused on forging strategic digital transformation partnerships and fostering C-suite relationships, ultimately growing the portfolio into a standalone Market Unit. 

A passionate advocate for equity and education, Omar serves on several non-profit and advisory boards, including as a member of the Executive Committee for the Junior Achievement of Southeast Texas. In September 2022, his commitment to diversity and inclusion was recognized by Yahoo Finance, which named him to its “Heroes Top 35 Advocate Executives” list for championing women in business and driving change for gender diversity. Since 2023, he has been recognized in the Forbes Middle East "Global Meets Local" list of top CEOs. Omar is a firm believer in the power of investing in people to help them achieve their full potential and is a frequent speaker at industry forums and events. 

Omar holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
