The Role
We're hiring a Business Development Representative to generate net-new advertising opportunities for our Digital Inside Sales program. You'll prospect into non-endemic brands — financial services, retail, consumer goods, and similar verticals — that want to reach our proprietary in-market travel audience. Your job is to identify the right companies, run discovery conversations, qualify business fit, and hand off pipeline to our closing sales team.
This is a structured, outbound, quota-carrying role. You'll own Stages 1 and 2 of the sales cycle — prospecting and qualification — and hand off warm, documented opportunities.
What You'll Do
Manage both outbound prospecting and inbound leads routed to your queue — researching and prioritising across assigned verticals via phone, email, and LinkedIn.
Run consultative discovery to uncover business objectives, budget, authority, need, and timing — and qualify or disqualify with documented rationale.
Communicate our advertising value proposition clearly; handle objections and build appetite for a deeper conversation.
Schedule qualified meetings for the closing sales team and deliver complete, context-rich handoffs.
Maintain accurate CRM records; respond to new leads within agreed SLAs and track your own activity, quality, and conversion performance.
Share prospect and market feedback to sharpen targeting, messaging, and sales plays.
Basic Qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree or minimum 1 year of experience in business development, sales development, or inside sales with a demonstrable track record in outbound prospecting.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Strong discovery and qualification skills; comfortable making honest go/no-go calls and documenting your reasoning.
-
Clear, confident communicator — written and verbal — able to engage director and VP-level business stakeholders.
-
CRM-literate (Salesforce preferred); experience with sales intelligence or sequencing tools a plus.
-
Background in digital advertising, AdTech, or media sales is an advantage — familiarity with how campaigns work and what advertisers care about will accelerate your ramp.
-
Self-managing: you hit activity targets, handle a full pipeline, and respond well to coaching.
