A transformation expert adept with the skills to help clients meet the challenges of digitization. You’re in your element using your know-how to solve clients’ most complex business problems to help their companies do more. You’re as comfortable working in teams and leading projects as you are diving into the details of workstreams and configuring SAP systems. And you’re up for traveling regularly to client sites.
The work:
We are seeking a new talent to join the SAP Software Engineering team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead end‑to‑end SAP TM / Event Management functional design and implementation, including configuration, testing, cutover, and post‑go‑live support
- Own process design in areas like Transportation planning, Freight order management, Carrier collaboration, Freight costing & settlement, Execution & monitoring
- Facilitate and lead client discovery and design workshops, translating business requirements into SAP TM , Event Management functional solutions
- Collaborate with SAP FI, MM, SD, QM, and Finance teams to ensure end‑to‑end integration across the supply chain
- As a Custom Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing custom software solutions to design, code, and enhance components across systems or applications.
- You will utilize modern frameworks and agile practices to deliver scalable, high-performing solutions tailored to specific business needs.
- You are expected to be a subject matter expert with deep knowledge and experience, possessing influencing and advisory skills.
- You will be responsible for team decisions, engage with multiple teams, and contribute to key decisions.
- Additionally, you are expected to provide solutions to problems that apply across multiple teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Implement best practices in software development to ensure high-quality deliverables. Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge with team members.
- Continuously explore and evaluate new technologies to enhance software solutions. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members to foster their professional growth.
Here’s what you need:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in SAP TM Transportation Management is required.
- Strong functional expertise in SAP Event Management including configuration and business process design
- Proven experience leading large‑scale SAP TM or logistics implementations in complex client environments
- Ability to lead client workshops and influence senior stakeholders in a structured, consultative manner
- Bachelor’s degree or completion of a college program in a related discipline
- Eligibility for Secret Security clearance is required
- English is required for this position as this role will regularly interact with stakeholders across Canada, US and other countries across our Global footprint where English is the common language. Due to the significant high volume of interactions with these English-speaking stakeholders, which is inherent to this position, it is not possible to reorganize the company's activities to avoid this requirement.
Bonus Points if:
- Advanced proficiency in Custom Application Development, Software Design & Solutions, Software Engineering, SAP LE Transportation, and SAP SD Functional is suggested.
Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location,
role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation, based on full-time
employment, for roles that may be hired as set forth below.
