Job Description

Accenture’s Resources Technology Consulting is looking for an experienced Tech Advisory Consultant to join our team and play an integral role in serving our Resources clients. In this role, you will work closely with professionals spanning strategy, application, infrastructure disciplines to help clients navigate the potential impacts to their industries. Ideal candidates will bring a well-rounded skillset capable of spanning business and technical disciplines and be comfortable working with client and Accenture teams to transform early stage ideas into fully assessed, designed, and implemented solutions.
A professional at the Consultant level within Accenture has the following responsibilities:
Contribute to high impact activities within the systems development lifecycle, and provide advisory work for our clients’ technology functions (IT and OT)
Decompose key business problems to identify value areas and structure complex technology solutions for our clients
Create innovative and differentiated offerings, staying relevant and in sync with market trends
Deliver advisory services in support of technology enabled business change, i.e. package & 3rd-party integrator selection, vendor selection, application studies, solution architecture studies and/or program diagnostics and recovery
Identify and assess complex problems and create solutions that require in-depth evaluation of variable factors which are implemented by the team
Interact with client stakeholders and internal leadership
Contribute to a collaborative team environment
Contribute to the development of Accenture thought leadership, including points of view on the application of new/emerging technology and methods to the Resources industry

Qualification Skills Requirement
Experience in a consulting position offering advisory services to the technology and/or operations groups of energy (oil & gas), mining, and utility companies including:
o Enterprise architecture
o Solution architecture and technology vendor evaluation/selection
o Requirements analysis and solution design
o IT strategy and roadmap development
o Business analysis
Experience working with agile methodologies, including scrum
Broad knowledge of new and emerging technologies including AI, machine learning, blockchain, AR/VR, cloud solutions, DevOps, etc.
Strong understanding of different digital platforms including big data, analytics, IoT, and end-to-end implementation and solution knowledge
Overall understanding of digital transformation services
Project management and team leadership
Problem solving, critical thinking and clear communication skills
Basic Qualifications
Must have a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, plus 3 to 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the IT consulting industry
Experience in natural resources, utility, energy sector a strong asset
Must have willingness and ability to travel to meet client needs
Demonstrated leadership in professional setting; either military or civilian 
Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting; either military or civilian
