Working with Business Architects and Business Partners, define required business processes (mapped to roles and activities) that support the business objectives and drive the envisioned business value by leveraging business leading practices while minimizing gaps between envisioned processes and existing business solutions capabilities.

  • Focus on understanding business needs and translating them into clear requirements (e.g. User Stories) (that can be understood by Solution Architects and Solution Designers), signed-off by the business and ready for Architecture Solution and Solution design
  • Use a cohesive framework to ensure that all business requirements gathering and process design are documented on a timely manner and following the expected Software Engineering Factory Quality standards
  • Develop an integrated view of the business requirements (backlog) of the specific business stream while ensuring alignment within the larger client context
  • Define the required Acceptance Criteria for each requirement
  • Define right KPIs and information inputs/outputs
  • Analyze processes to identify business opportunities
  • Work closely with Business Partners and key IT groups (Architecture, Design, Change Management, Delivery, Project Management, etc.) to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Apply, and ensure compliance with, all client IT standards (Security, Architecture, project Delivery Methodology, SOX, etc.).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, System Information, Administration, Engineering
  • 5+ years’ experience in a Business Analyst role
  • Experience in transportation industry with knowledge in multimodal (rail and trucking) logistics.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and facilitate workshops, interviews, and meetings, mindful of the impact of organizational change
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, synthesize, document, translate and communicate business information to technical teams and vice versa
  • Experience with process mapping
  • Experience with Agile Methodology (Iterative approach)
  • Strong business acumen and enterprise systems savvy
  • Knowledge in either one of the following areas or its equivalent:
    • Knowledgeable in Financial accounting process
    • SAP FICO systems and good understanding of Record to Report processes and systems.
    • Broad understanding of Accounting (General Accounting, Receivables, Payables) and knowledge of SAP Financial systems. CPA/CMA/CGA is an asset.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Tool (Excel, Sharepoint, Visio, Word)
  • Excellent leadership qualities (autonomous, quick learner, self-motivated)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills
