Technology Strategy practitioners operate at the intersection of business and technology by applying deep technology strategy development, architecting value and operating model architecture skills to influence client agendas through industry insight.  They partner with our clients to make bold decisions on priority C-Suite issues at the intersection of business, technology and operations. Providing deep understanding of our clients' industry landscape and business options in the context of global, economic, technology and social trends.

Job Description

Technology Strategy professionals create strategies and plans that define how  technology should be utilized to support an organization's overall business strategy. Applies knowledge of standards and best practices to define governance, organization structure and staffing, architecture and processes for managing portfolios of projects. Maintains knowledge of evolving trends in technology strategy and management and applies those to develop innovative business solutions.

Technology Strategy professionals identify the most important client technology issues, and maximize business value by conducting rigorous analyses and developing strategic multiyear roadmaps that address these issues.

A professional at this position level within Accenture has the following responsibilities:

  • Identifies, assesses and solves complex business problems for area of responsibility, where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.


  • Closely follows the strategic direction set by senior management when establishing near term goals.


  • Interacts with senior management at a client and/or within Accenture on matters where they may need to gain acceptance on an alternate approach.


  • Has some latitude in decision-making.


  • Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments.


  • Decisions have a major day to day impact on area of responsibility.


  • Manages large - medium sized teams and/or work efforts (if in an individual contributor role) at a client or within Accenture.


Basic Qualifications

  • Ability to meet travel requirements, when applicable
  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience either as an external consultant or an internal client/customer supporting role
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience improving the business value of technology
  • Minimum 2 years of experience leading or managing small teams effectively including planning/structuring analytical work, facilitating team workshops, and developing technology strategy recommendations

  • Proven ability to build, manage and foster a team-oriented environment
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent leadership and management skills
  • Experience leading or managing small teams effectively and planning/structuring analytical work
  • Broad, diverse experience and knowledge of major technologies (legacy to emerging).
  • Some knowledge of Enterprise Architecture frameworks
