Solution Areas are what we want to be known for in the market; they are the areas on which our clients most frequently seek our guidance during their digital transformation journey. Within our Solution Areas, we have core Offerings, which are the solutions we deliver to our clients. By specializing in and formalizing these select Offerings, we can deepen our relationships with our clients across their entire business and compete in new areas, helping us to grow our market share.  In the Applications and Infrastructure Solution Area, you will be focused on helping our clients maximize their investment in Azure and Azure stack.
 

Solution Area (SA) Delivery Leads manage and develop business within an assigned Solution Area portfolio of clients on behalf of the delivery organization. They ensure that client portfolios within a given SA are optimized and perform well.

As SA Delivery Lead, you will be responsible for managing client portfolios within Applications and Infrastructure. You will be actively involved with the delivery team and clients, helping to shape deals, implement client solutions, resolve troubled engagements, and ensure continuous solution improvement and client satisfaction. You will also be responsible for meeting target revenues and margins.

Day-to-day, you will:

  • Provide discipline for your SA and geo delivery capability, managing solution contingency and cost-to-serve and ensuring that best-practice methods and tools are used

  • Oversee new contract mobilization and serve as delivery lead on large, complex and strategically important projects

  • Analyze SA portfolio and individual contract delivery performance for continuous improvement opportunities

  • Migrate business to low-cost factory delivery model, working with the delivery team

  • Define delivery staffing requirements and ensure that development strategies are in place

  • Partner with delivery executive and talent community leads to mentor delivery lead and solution architect communities

Key Role Skill & Capability Requirements:

• Infrastructure solutions (especially Microsoft), cloud technologies, networking, data center operations, platform migration, and enterprise directories
• Operation management, systems security, testing, databases and mobility considerations
• Experience leading technology infrastructure projects
• Good understanding of infrastructure-as-code and how DevOps models intersect
• Cross architecture skills to plan complex and multi-cloud solutions and infrastructure core services
• Microservice architecture and containerization
• Advanced understanding of PowerShell and other scripting languages
• Up-to-date knowledge of Microsoft products
• Ability to gain an understanding of customer process and issues, and communicate them back
• Ability to work in teams and individually when needed
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience working with global teams on projects
• Experience working with offshore teams to facilitate project work
• Demonstrated excellence in communicating and presenting complex information to technical and non-technical stakeholders, both verbally and in written form
• Advanced skills and experience in application lifecycle management, agile development methods and software planning
• Effective at recruiting talented people, managing and influencing virtual teams, and developing leaders
• Strategic thinker about business issues across product areas and industries

• Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive them to completion effectively
• Monitor, mentor, and lead teams to overcome roadblocks and challenges and implement coordination

You are adept at juggling numerous goals, tasks and challenges in a constantly changing environment and thrive on facing the unexpected that each day brings.

  • Your business skillset likely includes

  • Deep experience with formalized project, program and service management processes and procedures, including estimating, work planning, contract management, scope management, user acceptance, client management, service management and risk identification and mitigation

  • Experience working in a consulting environment

  • Demonstrated understanding of various delivery methodologies

  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills, with ability to influence without authority

  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills and effective client relationship management

  • Experience with rapid project improvement of troubled engagements

  • Demonstrated business knowledge, including financial, operational, social, economic, regulatory and political issues and understanding of how decisions affect stakeholders and clients

  • Ability to foster a team-based delivery mindset and build a high-performance culture.

  • You likely have around 10 years of experience that includes consulting or outsourcing customer leadership experience leading large-scale, Multi-site, Multi-country projects. You also likely have at least four years of direct people and project management experience. A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent is preferred. Internal candidates should have at least some of the following certifications: Certified Delivery Lead (SIDL), Certified Solution Architect (SISA or AOSA) and Lead QA Director (QAD).

Preferred Education Background:

You likely possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also suffice

Preferred Years of Work Experience:

7+ years of increasingly diverse or complex experience in a software/product development capacity

Preferred Years of Management Experience:

5+ years of experience working with global teams

Scope of Work:

Translates high-level strategy into more localized strategy and operational objectives for large-scale and strategically-critical workstreams.
