We are seeking a Manager to join the Risk and Compliance Consulting team in South Africa where you will have the opportunity to work on technology assurance and controls engagements in the financial services industry.

Responsibilities:

As a Risk and Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for leading engagements covering internal audit, quality assurance and risk management.

Your day-to-day activities will include:
-
Lead programme assurance over multi-party transformation programmes
-
Assess design and operating effectiveness of programme controls
-
Design tests and monitoring mechanisms to assess control effectiveness
-
Provide independent and objective assessments of processes, systems, controls and performance
-
Report to senior stakeholders on risk management outcomes and areas for improvement

You are expected to be an assurance subject matter advisor, to problem solve independently, to manage a team to perform effectively, and to represent Accenture at senior levels in client organizations.

You will be responsible for team decisions, engaging with external partners, and contributing to key client decisions. You are additionally expected to contribute to the continued growth of the Risk & Compliance practice in Africa.
Who and what we are looking for?
Six to ten years+ experience with a top-tier audit, consulting firm or major financial services firm.
Experience in programme assurance, auditing and risk management
Experience in financial services, especially banking and insurance
Aspiration to extend skillset and build a career in strategy and consulting
Bachelors’ degree (accounting, finance, business discipline) minimum and MBA preferred
Certifications in internal audit (CIA), accounting, or related fields preferable
Solid foundational consulting skills (issue-based problem solving, structured communication, value analysis, relationship management, storytelling)
Curious nature, positive attitude and strong team player
