SAP GRC & Security Manager
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP GRC & Security Manager to lead the design, implementation, governance, and continuous improvement of SAP security and controls across complex SAP landscapes. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of hands-on SAP Security and GRC experience, with strong exposure to SAP S/4HANA environments, and proven ability to manage security strategy, compliance, access controls, risk mitigation, and stakeholder engagement.
This role is responsible for ensuring secure and compliant SAP operations by driving effective access governance, segregation of duties (SoD) controls, user provisioning, emergency access management, audit support, and security design across SAP platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage SAP Security and GRC initiatives across SAP landscapes, including SAP S/4HANA.
- Design, implement, and maintain SAP roles, authorizations, and security profiles in line with business and compliance requirements.
- Oversee SAP GRC Access Control processes, including:
- Access Risk Analysis (ARA)
- Emergency Access Management (EAM)
- Access Request Management (ARM)
- Business Role Management (BRM)
- Drive Segregation of Duties (SoD) analysis, remediation, and mitigation control design.
- Partner with business, internal audit, compliance, and IT teams to ensure adherence to governance, risk, and control requirements.
- Support SAP S/4HANA transformation projects by embedding security and controls into solution design and implementation.
- Define and enforce SAP security standards, policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Manage user access provisioning, role redesign, and periodic access reviews.
- Support external and internal audit activities by providing evidence, documentation, and remediation plans.
- Assess security impact of system changes, enhancements, and new implementations.
- Provide leadership and guidance to functional, technical, and security teams on SAP access and control requirements.
- Monitor and improve security processes to reduce risk, enhance compliance, and improve operational efficiency.
- Stay current with SAP security trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging risks.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting, or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of SAP Security and GRC experience.
- Proven experience working with SAP S/4HANA.
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP GRC Access Control modules.
- Deep understanding of SAP authorization concepts, role design, and user administration.
- Strong knowledge of Segregation of Duties (SoD) principles and compliance frameworks.
- Experience supporting SAP audits, compliance assessments, and remediation activities.
- Demonstrated experience in managing SAP security across multiple SAP modules and environments.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to translate business requirements into secure and compliant SAP access solutions.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in large-scale SAP transformation or migration programmes, particularly to SAP S/4HANA.
- Exposure to SAP Fiori security concepts and role design.
- Experience with SAP ECC, SAP BW, SAP HANA, SAP BTP, and/or SAP SuccessFactors security is advantageous.
- Understanding of ITGC, SOX, and other regulatory/compliance requirements.
- Experience leading teams or managing security workstreams.
- Relevant SAP certification(s) in Security or GRC would be advantageous.
