Marketing and Communications professionals build a powerful and differentiated global brand at the corporate, industry, capability and geography levels that support the Accenture strategy; enhances long-term client relationships; inspires employees and candidates; and drives profitable revenue growth. 


The media relations specialist will support media relations activity for Accenture’s corporate and digital campaigns in Singapore. He or she will work closely with the Singapore team to drive media activities that align with local and global business objectives. This person would be expected to be familiar with the business and technology media, and should demonstrate a keen interest in Singapore current affairs and the digital economy. He or she should also possess excellent writing skills and strong digital acumen. The role includes regular liaison with a Public Relations (PR) agency.

 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Proactively build relationships with key journalists.
  • Develop content for media including pitches, news releases and by-line articles.
  • Track and pitch forward features.
  • Maintain media databases and issue news releases.
  • Manage media opportunities including securing and hosting interviews and preparing briefing notes.
  • Monitor traditional and social media channels.
  • Work closely with and develop good working relationships with our PR agency.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years' experience in media relations / corporate communications (corporate or agency experience preferred).
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills. Superior writing capabilities is essential.
  • Proven ability to quickly and concisely draft a wide range of clear, concise and high-quality media materials including news releases, media Questions & Answers (Q&As), media pitch letters, by-lined articles, op-eds, etc.
  • Ability to interact and work closely with media contacts.
  • Manage media opportunities including securing and hosting interviews and preparing briefing notes.
  • Social media (blogs, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn) familiarity and skills required
  • Broad knowledge of key issues and trends in and affecting the technology and marketing services industries.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to influence the leadership within Accenture’s large, matrixed organization through effective navigation, relationship-building and executive-level presence.
  • Strong teaming skills—ability to work autonomously and independently, yet integrate appropriately with Marketing & Communications colleagues across other businesses, operating groups and geographies.
