Collections Officer with German
Job location: Bucharest, Brasov, Iasi, Timisoara | Hybrid | Schedule: 09:00 –18:00.

Role summary
The Collections Analyst supports customers with overdue accounts while balancing customer needs, business objectives, and risk management requirements. The role focuses on reducing delinquency, maximizing recoveries, and maintaining a professional customer experience through structured collections activities and payment resolution strategies.
Your mission
- Manage inbound and outbound collection activities for overdue accounts;
- Engage customers to understand payment circumstances and identify suitable solutions;
- Negotiate payment commitments, repayment plans, and collection arrangements;
- Monitor account portfolios and follow up on agreed actions;
- Maintain accurate case records and collection documentation;
- Escalate hardship, fraud, dispute, complaint, or legal cases as required;
- Collaborate with Customer Service, Risk, Compliance, and external partners;
- Support achievement of recovery, quality, and productivity targets;
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and collection procedures.

Required Qualifications
- German & English - B2–C1;
- Minimum high school diploma;
- Entry-level roles: previous experience is not mandatory;
- Mid-level roles: minimum 1 year of experience in collections, customer service, finance operations, or account management;
- Understanding of delinquency management and collection processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- French or Italian is considered a strong advantage;
- Goethe German-language certification is a plus.
