As a Junior Consultant (all genders) in the energy grids domain, you will support transmission system operators and major distribution network operators in planning and shaping the grid of the future. You will contribute across a broad range of topics, applying your technical knowledge to address industry‑specific challenges and support the delivery of sustainable and innovative grid solutions. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will help translate concepts into practice and support the successful realization of grid transformation initiatives.

Power Grid consultant
Power Grid Planning & Data Management
You contribute to the planning and analysis of national and regional power grid models to support the development of future‑ready electricity networks. Your responsibilities include supporting grid planning and operational strategies, performing system assessments and scenario analyses, and working with complex grid and asset data. You help consolidate data across stakeholders and support the use and continuous improvement of engineering tools for analysis, planning, visualization, and optimization of grid processes.
Power System Dynamics & Stability
You support the analysis of power system dynamics and stability to ensure reliable and resilient grid operation. This includes contributing to dynamic simulations and system studies to assess grid behavior under various operating and future scenarios. You help identify system risks and sensitivities and support the development of recommendations to enhance system stability and power quality.
Energy Market & Industry Studies
You contribute to market and industry analyses within the energy sector, focusing on regulatory developments, market trends, and emerging technologies. Your work supports the assessment of market potential, competitive positioning, and future business models related to power systems and the energy transition. You prepare analyses and presentations that support strategic discussions with internal and external stakeholders.
About the skills that make your work successful:
Proficiency in German (minimum C1) and English (minimum B2), enabling effective communication with clients and project teams in international environments.
A completed university degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or Industrial Engineering with a focus on electrical energy systems.
A solid academic foundation in power system planning and operation of transmission and distribution networks, with an understanding of key technical and regulatory challenges.
Basic knowledge of power system dynamics and stability concepts and their relevance for grid operators, infrastructure providers, and technology manufacturers.
Interest in power system analysis, simulation, and data-driven approaches, including exposure to engineering tools and programming environments such as MATLAB or Python.
