JOB SUMMARY:

Our small, global group of litigators work closely with other legal and business teams to protect Accenture from financial and reputational risk by: 

·       shaping and managing risk mitigation and margin protection strategies;  

·       resolving disputes, commercial litigation and significant compliance incidents;  

·       notifying our insurers and reporting to our C Suite; and  

·       managing complex commercial, criminal and employment litigation through the courts. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

·       Manage complex commercial litigation and significant disputes, significant compliance incidents and complex employment litigation including:  

  • Creating and executing strategy to minimize risk and reach resolutions;
  • Working with other internal groups such as our corporate communications and finance functions, other groups within legal and contract management, our e-discovery group and our business teams;
  • Advising our internal senior management;
  • Managing and working with outside counsel, including budgets and work plans;  
  • Advising across EMEA on different litigation and alternative dispute resolution systems;
  • Helping to enhance collective skill set of other legal professionals through training and presentations to deliver lessons learned; and 
  • Complying with our operational processes – for reporting, insurance notification and costs management  

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

·       Qualified lawyer required 

Work Experience: 

·       Relevant litigation experience in law firm and/or in-house litigation counsel between 8-10 years’ experience as a litigator/dispute resolution lawyer

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

·       Experience and demonstrated capability in managing complex litigation through the court processes and alternative dispute resolution mechanisms (such as mediation, arbitration and expert determination)

·       In-depth knowledge of litigation and alternative dispute resolution processes

·       Extensive experience in resolving commercial and international disputes

·       Willing to apply knowledge to different situations, cross-cultures and legal frameworks in the region and across the Accenture global network to help advise on and make decisions about risks and issues

·       Team player, collaborative and persuasive; able to work well with executives and non-executives and capable of influencing key decisions 

·       Able to advise on difficult disputes and formulate resolution strategies and project manage complex litigation and disputes including outside counsel
