THE WORK:
- Design and own target-state AWS architectures and landing zones, leading on-prem-to-cloud migrations of Windows and Linux workloads.
- Build and standardize IaC with Terraform and Ansible (reusable modules, policy-as-code), delivered via CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, Argo CD/Flux).
- Architect production Kubernetes platforms (EKS and upstream) and container standards: Helm, ingress, RBAC, image security.
- Champion open-source, vendor-neutral tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Vault, OpenTofu) and GitOps/SRE practices.
- Mentor engineers, advise clients on strategy, security and FinOps, and grow as a technical leader.
Flexible: The work location for this role may include a mix of working remotely, onsite at a client or in an Accenture office - depending on specific project circumstances. With all our roles, there is some in-person time for collaboration, learning and building relationships with clients, peers, leaders, and communities. WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU:
- Shape architecture for large, complex cloud transformation and container platform programs for international clients, expanding your technical and architectural skills.
- Collaborate with a global community of architects and engineers while influencing technical direction and continuously developing your expertise in cloud, Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code.
- Take part in sovereign cloud and open-source-driven initiatives while accessing certification support and opportunities to develop towards Principal Architect or Technical Leadership roles.
HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- 7+ years in cloud, 3+ as architect/lead, delivering enterprise AWS solutions (networking, IAM, hybrid).
- Strong hands-on Terraform and Ansible, including reusable module libraries and team standards.
- Production Kubernetes experience (EKS and/or self-managed), Docker/OCI, Helm, GitOps.
- Designing CI/CD pipelines with integrated security checks (DevSecOps).
- Track record leading on-prem-to-AWS migrations of Windows and Linux workloads.
- Solid SRE, observability and disaster recovery practices; strong Linux, Bash and Python.
- Commitment to open-source and open standards, weighing managed services against portable alternatives.
- Excellent communication: presenting architectural decisions to executives, mentoring engineers.
BONUS POINTS:
- Working knowledge of sovereign cloud: data residency, GDPR, NIS2, DORA, European providers (OVHcloud, STACKIT, Scaleway, IONOS) and OpenStack.
- Portable Kubernetes across clouds and on-prem (Rancher, Cluster API, k3s), service mesh (Cilium, Istio), policy-as-code (OPA, Kyverno).
- Platform engineering (Backstage, Crossplane) and multi-cloud/hybrid designs that minimize vendor lock-in.
- Windows automation with Ansible (WinRM, PowerShell DSC); pre-sales and estimation experience.
