Atlassian Migration Engineer/Administrator
Atlassian Migration Engineer:
- Lead end-to-end migration projects for Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.)
- Assess current environments and design migration strategies (cloud, server, or data center)
- Execute data migration, including workflows, custom fields, permissions, and integrations
- Collaborate with stakeholders to minimize downtime and ensure smooth transitions
- Troubleshoot migration issues and provide post-migration support
- Document migration processes, best practices, and lessons learned
- Ensure compliance with security, governance, and industry standards during migration
- Provide training and guidance to teams on new Atlassian environments
- Work closely with vendors and Atlassian support for complex migration challenges
Atlassian Administrator:
- Manage and administer Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, etc.)
- Configure workflows, schemes, dashboards, and permissions to meet business needs
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and apply patches/upgrades
- Maintain user accounts, groups, and access rights across Atlassian platforms
- Integrate Atlassian tools with third-party applications and plugins
- Develop and enforce governance policies for tool usage and data management
- Provide technical support and training to end-users and project teams
- Automate repetitive tasks and optimize system efficiency
- Stay updated on Atlassian product releases and recommend improvements
- At least 2 years of experience administering Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo)
- Expertise in configuring workflows, schemes, dashboards, and permissions
- Experience with system monitoring, troubleshooting, and applying patches/upgrades
- Strong background in user management (accounts, groups, access rights)
- Integration experience with third-party applications and plugins
- Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., ScriptRunner, Automation for Jira)
- Ability to enforce governance policies and optimize system efficiency
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Continuous learning mindset to stay updated on Atlassian product releases
