Job Title: Configuration Analyst – EMR Systems (Epic Preferred)
Role Overview:
We are seeking a Configuration Analyst with strong hands-on experience in configuring and supporting enterprise EMR/HIS platforms to join our healthcare technology team. In this role, you will act as a configuration expert, collaborating closely with clinical and technical teams to ensure system stability, seamless integration, and a superior user experience. While experience with Epic modules is preferred, candidates with strong configuration experience in other EMR systems such as Cerner, Allscripts, MEDITECH, or similar platforms are also encouraged to apply.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include workflow analysis, system configuration, troubleshooting, issue resolution, and driving enhancements to optimize operational efficiency and patient care outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for assigned EMR modules, ensuring accurate configuration, maintenance, and optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (clinical, technical, integration, and business) to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions.
- Participate in build, testing, and validation activities, ensuring system integrity, compliance, and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across applications, interfaces, and integrations in a timely and structured manner.
- Document configuration changes, workflows, and knowledge articles to support operational excellence and knowledge transfer.
- Provide mentoring and training to junior analysts and contribute to team capability building.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and solution design discussions.
Professional & Technical Skills:
Must Have:
- Hands-on configuration experience in at least one major EMR system (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Allscripts, MEDITECH, or similar).
- Strong understanding of hospital workflows and clinical operations.
- Proven ability to perform end-to-end configuration, troubleshooting, and testing with minimal supervision.
- Exposure to working with integration/interfaces between EMR and external systems.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on enhancing user experience.
Preferred (Epic):
- Active Epic certification in one or more of the following modules: Willow Inpatient, Ambulatory, Radiant, Cupid, OpTime, Professional Billing (PB), Orders, Beacon, Care Everywhere, EpicCare Link, ClinDoc / Stork, ASAP, Bugsy.
- Interfaces/Bridges Integration experience across Epic and third-party systems.
- Exposure to multiple Epic modules beyond the primary certification.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of EMR system configuration and support experience.
- Education: 15 years of full-time education (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required).
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with clinical and IT teams.
- Experience working in healthcare delivery or consulting environments is an added advantage.
Note: While Epic certification and experience are preferred for this role, candidates with solid EMR configuration experience in other platforms will also be considered.
