Data Engineer

Summary: The Thought Machine Vault Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and integrating backend services and smart contracts on the Vault Core platform. They collaborate with product, architecture, and integration teams to deliver scalable, event driven, API based financial services. Job Qualifications o Minimum 5 years experience of hands-on experience with Thought Machine Vault / Vault Core. o Strong Python development skills (primary language used for Vault smart contracts). o Strong experience with REST APIs, microservices, and backend design. o Experience with Kafka or other event-driven/message streaming platforms. o Domain experience in banking, core banking or Fintech As a Data Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain data solutions that facilitate data generation, collection, and processing. Your typical day will involve creating data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and implementing ETL processes to migrate and deploy data across various systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to address data-related challenges and contribute to the overall data strategy of the organization. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to be an SME. - Collaborate and manage the team to perform. - Responsible for team decisions. - Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions. - Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams. - Develop and optimize data pipelines to enhance data processing efficiency. - Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows to ensure seamless data integration. - Document data processes and maintain data governance standards. Professional & Technical Skills: - Required Skill: Expert proficiency in Python. - Additional Good To Have Skills: Experience with Data Engineering. - Strong understanding of data architecture and data modeling principles. - Experience with ETL tools and frameworks for data integration. - Familiarity with cloud platforms and services for data storage and processing. - Proficient in database management and SQL for data manipulation. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Python. - This position is based at our Manila office.
