Summary

The Maximo Integration Lead is responsible for designing, developing, and managing integration solutions that enable seamless data exchange between IBM Maximo 7.6.x (including MAS 8/9) and enterprise systems. This role ensures the reliability, security, and scalability of Maximo integration frameworks, with a strong focus on modern integration standards, APIs, middleware, and automation. The specialist works closely with business, technical, and vendor teams to translate integration requirements into robust solutions while supporting continuous improvement of asset management processes through optimized system connectivity.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and implement Maximo integration solutions using MIF (Maximo Integration Framework), REST/JSON APIs, web services, and enterprise middleware platforms.
  • Lead integration assessments and recommend optimal integration patterns for on‑premise, cloud, and hybrid environments.
  • Manage end‑to‑end integration lifecycle including requirement analysis, mapping, development, testing, security validation, deployment, and documentation.
  • Configure and optimize Object Structures, Publish Channels, Enterprise Services, Processing Rules, End points, and Integration Queues.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts, interface logic, and data transformations to support inbound and outbound integrations.
  • Troubleshoot integration failures across Maximo components, middleware tools, databases, queues, and external systems.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards, SLA requirements, and best practices for interface reliability and performance.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, and Application teams to ensure integration alignment with organizational standards.
  • Support configurations involving LDAP/AD, SSL, API authentication, user access, and secure data transfer protocols.
  • Prepare technical documentation including interface design specs, sequence diagrams, test plans, and operational runbooks.
  • Provide guidance, mentoring, and training to developers and support teams on integration components and best practices.

Professional & Technical Skills

  • Strong experience with Maximo Integration Framework (MIF), including Object Structures, Enterprise Services, Publish Channels, Web Services, REST API, and JSON/XML transformations.
  • Hands‑on experience with integration middleware tools (e.g., TIBCO, Azure Integration Services, Boomi, or equivalent).
  • Expertise in Integration Configuration setup with MAS 8 or 9.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting integration logs, Queues, and Cron Tasks.
  • Experience in integrating Maximo with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle), GIS systems (ESRI), IoT platforms, and external asset management applications.
  • Strong SQL skills for data validation, reconciliation, and interface troubleshooting.

Additional Good to Have Skills

  • Experience developing using Java, Python, or JavaScript for integration logic, extensions, or custom connectors.
  • Familiarity with MAS 8/9 deployments on Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP).
  • Understanding of Maximo Manage, Monitor, Health, and other MAS applications and their integration touchpoints.
  • Experience in API management platforms, microservices, and container‑based integration patterns.
  • Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud) relevant to integration pipelines, event messaging, and monitoring.
